Sneakerness asked some sneaker heads and influencers from all over the world 3 questions.

Here you go with Danijel, one of the initiator of Kicks N Coffee and member of Sneaker Stammtisch Stuttgart.

Why did you started collecting sneakers?
Well, good question. I think it all started with basketball and music. It was the time when inside NBA came up and Michael Jordan was about to become a legend! Back in the days when you were the first one on court to rock the latest Pippens or Jordans you were somebody, people noticed you. Unfortunately it wasn’t that easy for me back then, so i had to buy the used kicks of my friends, if i wanted to have some heat on my own :( Until the day when i was old enough to make my own money and buy my own kicks. Thats mostly how it started…

First sneaker you can remember being your favorite?
I remember that very well, it was the Nike Air More Tempo B, the sickest shoe back then. No matter what colorway, you had to have them, the version with the Air system throughout the whole shoe of course. The shop owner almost went crazy, i had to pay the shoe step by step because i din’t make enough money with cleaning other peoples gardens or door halls, until i could pay the last rate. When i finally got the pair, i rocked them to death. And when it rereleased in 2003 (i guess) i had to get another pair immediately.

Which sneaker do you think is overhyped?
Puh, thats a hard one. I guess it varies, from collector to collector. If you want to have something really bad, and you are looking for it for a long time, then you are willing to pay almost any price. It’s always in the eye of the beholder.
