Let us introduce you to Le Coq Sportif’s Flash, an early-90s runner with just enough zippy paneling and more than enough savoir faire. We can’t honestly say we had any great sentimental connection to the Flash, but we know a thing or two about tidy runners, and the chance to work on a fresh retro model that hasn’t been thoroughly rinsed has max appeal.

The Summer Bay colourway was intended as maverick-OG, and by that, we mean it’s ‘almost’ legit for the 90s, but there’s a few subtle twists and turns that take it out of the predictable zone. Cornflour blue, dusty pink strobes and banana yellow heels are a harmonious pastel mélange, but it’s the cunning deployment of both white and pale-blue silky mesh that is the off-kilter key, at least to our deep-fried retinas. Praise to Le Coq for their attention to detail. The materials are first class and the nubuck is shaded to perfection.

Summer Bay is timed for release in July. Roll on Summer Bay, you know we belong together!

Why did you started collecting sneakers?
It was Basketball and Michael Jordan plus my appreciation for good design. It was the only thing you can afford and own if your a kid, some kids like super soakers and Neo Geo consoles I love those black cement “elephant print” on those Jordan 3′s.

First sneaker you can remember being your favorite?
It was those banned Jordan 1′s the black and red not those one with the X’s on the back those crap a whack! The moment i got those, the collections started to pile up.

Which sneaker do you think is overhyped?
All those retro Jordan’s, don’t get me wrong there cool and everything even though the quality is not that great, but kids are getting shot and beaten to death for a piece of faux leather, rubber and laces that only cost Nike 20 $ USD to produce, that’s crazy and oh boy don’t get me started on the Yeezy 2′s.

Release at Sole Classics May 25th 2013

The popular animal print motif has made its way onto the Puma “Animal” Collection. Tonal leopard print covers the upper of three colorways of the Puma Suede, and the ankle collars of three colorways of the Puma Stepper. Black leather inner lining and white soles are present in all six shoes, but the black Puma Suede opts for ecru-colored branding while the other two keeps the black color scheme prevalent. The mid cut Stepper employs black suede throughout the upper, and uses matching colors on the branding and ankle collar. The entire Puma “Animal” Collection will release in Summer 2013.

Play Cloths follows up its last collaborative release with Saucony with this new set of Shadow 5000s dubbed the “Cotton Candy Pack”. Built with lux suede uppers and featuring the iconic starry perforated toe-boxes, Play Cloths’ latest rendition of the Saucony Shadow 5000 is defined by three distinct pastel colors that represent the fluffy sweets often see at carnivals, street fairs, and other summer-time family outings. Following their breakout success with Le Coq Sportif back in 2012, London super-store Footpatrol has cooked up another sweet batch of Éclat runners. With a crispy exterior offset by the gooey smooth goodness inside, they’re styled after macarons, those cheeky French mini-meringues. Crafted from decadent pig suede, reflective 3M, gummy soles, satin lining and dollops of metallic gold, sweet-tooths will just have to wait til June for their cavity-crunching fix to arrive.

Reebok Court Victory Pumps owned by we did it in style**’s crate

This sneaker is part of the “Purple Haze Pack”, which contains another Reebok Court Victory Pump, in a light blue shade with red accents on the midsole and tongue. Like the other sneaker of the pack, this sneaker features a suede upper and Reebok’s classic Pump technology. Inflatable air chambers are located around the ankle to provide comfort and support with just a few squeezes of the tongue.
