The cooperation between Eight Magazine and KangaROOS is an art collaboration with the topic “What’s In Yours?” and is the KangaROOS theme for Sneakerness 2012: The potential contents of the legendary KangaROOS pocket, serve as inspiration for well-known young contemporary artists amongst others from Sneakerness cities Zurich, Amsterdam, Vienna and Cologne. Together with EIGHT magazine, KangaROOS brings the street artists on the scene.

Their “What’s In Yours?” artworks will be presented exclusively at the KangaROOS booth at the Sneakerness.

For the discerning sneaker connoisseur who actually wears his prized possessions, the upkeep and maintenance of one’s kicks are second only to copping a fresh pair. Puma introduces the ideal weapon in the fight against dirt and scuff marks, a kit that includes a set of brushes and a bottle of Jason Markk Premium Sneaker Solution. Puma branded shoe trees and a hanger are included in the kit, packaged in a special edition wooden box, each of which are individually numbered. There’s no word yet whether these will ever make it on to retailers’ shelves. We just got one for our Headquarter.

The 80′s was a time to wear in loud and proud. It had done so only a decade earlier with disco and a decade earlier still with Motown. Politics, culture and counter-culture would pay their past as a happy go lucky 70′s made their way for a dog eat dog 80′s.
