Mini Video – Not Normal
Mini Video – Not Normal
NOT NORMAL is the mindset that has guided the design of MINI for over 50 years. And it’s the same mindset that connects the brand to people who drive MINI today. In a world where so many people are trying to fit in, MINI extends an open invitation to those who would rather stand out. And that is NOT NORMAL.

3 QUESTIONS, 3 ANSWERS – Pauli from Stil & Paar Laden
3 QUESTIONS, 3 ANSWERS – Pauli from Stil & Paar Laden

Sneakerness asked some sneaker heads and influencers from all over the world 3 questions.
Last but not least we asked Viennas finest sneaker shop owner Pauli of Stil Laden & PAAR 3 questions:
Why did you started collecting sneakers?
Since the day I started with skateboarding, sneakers were always a big part of the culture. My first pair of skateboardsneakers were the Nike Delta Force, cause during that time we had no skateshops in Vienna this was back in 1988, so this were my first contact with sneakers and it last till today. I also remember the time in the early 90′s when we tried to get our hands on Puma Suedes, Clyde and adidas Superstar and Gazelle these were the sneakers to skate with, because of the Beasite Boys Album “Check your Head”, the one with the Coverphoto of all 3 guys sitting on the sidewalk with Puma’s and adidas – that was the shit!
First sneaker you can remember being your favorite?
Actually I had to say – adidas gazelle, but like everything in life it changed after the years!
Which sneaker do you think is overhyped?
Air Yeezy

Here some impressions:
Zapateria at Sneakerness Vienna 2012
Zapateria at Sneakerness Vienna 2012

Zapateria was founded in 2004.
After a day of searching for cool sneakers on a rainy day in Vienna, David talked with his best friend about the fact that there were no cool sneaker shops in Austria. They both bought all their shoes abroad.
So the idea was born, after nearly a year of investigation, running around finding a store and getting the money together the shop openend.
Since day one Severin and David try to show the full spectrum of sneakers, from limited sneakers to a Adidas Samba that could be bought everywhere.
Come and buy a sneaker or two at the Sneakerness Vienna Zapateria booth.

Kangaroos X Eight Magazine X Sneakerness – What’s In Yours?

The cooperation between Eight Magazine and KangaROOS is an art collaboration with the topic “What’s In Yours?” and is the KangaROOS theme for Sneakerness 2012: The potential contents of the legendary KangaROOS pocket, serve as inspiration for well-known young contemporary artists amongst others from Sneakerness cities Zurich, Amsterdam, Vienna and Cologne. Together with EIGHT magazine, KangaROOS brings the street artists on the scene.
Their “What’s In Yours?” artworks will be presented exclusively at the KangaROOS booth at the Sneakerness.
Sneakergallery at The 6th Floor
Sneakergallery at The 6th Floor

Besides being an object of utility that shadows us every day we think of sneakers as pieces of art that deserve this type of appreciation. This is why we are displaying our shoes like a Gallery would, mixing them up with alternating exhibitions from our surrounding which consists of musicians, graff writers, designers and sneaker lovers.
After opening doors back in August 2010 as part of “the 6th Floor” in the STEFFL Department Store, we quickly became the go-to spot for sweet GRs, limited editions and exclusives as well as styles from high end brands like LANVIN, BALENCIAGA, GUCCI, etc..
In consequence of receiving praise from Sneaker Freaker Germany, Sneakers Magazine and of course our customers, we are furthermore motivated to strive for establishing ourselves as an important piece of sneaker culture.
Street cred meets high end:
the SneakerGallery feels more like an independent, hip, small and exclusive boutique rather than being part of one of Europe’s biggest high end shoe shops right in the heart of Vienna.
Well, that’s ok, too!
3 QUESTIONS, 3 ANSWERS – Florian Kamp
3 QUESTIONS, 3 ANSWERS – Florian Kamp

Sneakerness asked some sneaker heads and influencers from all over the world 3 questions.
Here you go with Florian Kamp from The 6th floor in Vienna!
Why did you started collecting sneakers?
I was involved in the organization of the first Sneakerness in Vienna back in 2009 and that’s when this compulsion really started for me. Of course, being part of the Austrian Hip Hop scene for a long time paved the way for this sickness.
First sneaker you can remember being your favorite?
I will always have to go with the original Reebok Pump from ’89: a lovely monster of a shoe!
Which sneaker do you think is overhyped?
The Yeezy 2 would might be the most obvious pick, but I have to admit that I’m actually liking those. I think the Galaxy Foams were pretty overhyped if we’re talking 2012.
