On October 6th, 2012, right on time for Sneakerness Weekend, the Cologne Sneakermuseum will premiere its third exhibition: KICKS ON FILM – Cinematic Perspectives on Sneaker Culture. The exhibition, which runs through early 2013, is dedicated to showcasing the impact and significance of sneakers in film and television throughout the years. Visitors to Jülicher Straße 14 in Cologne will experience a wide variety of iconic “film sneakers”, as well as rare special edition sneakers that were inspired by memorable cinematic moments and milestones. An additional highlight of the exhibition is a unique Lego installation by construction toy artist Alex Jones, aka Orion Pax, which will be on display as well. More about it HERE.

The cooperation between Eight Magazine and KangaROOS is an art collaboration with the topic “What’s In Yours?” and is the KangaROOS theme for Sneakerness 2012: The potential contents of the legendary KangaROOS pocket, serve as inspiration for well-known young contemporary artists amongst others from Sneakerness cities Zurich, Amsterdam, Vienna and Cologne. Together with EIGHT magazine, KangaROOS brings the street artists on the scene.

Their “What’s In Yours?” artworks will be presented exclusively at the KangaROOS booth at the Sneakerness Cologne 2012.

Located in the Belgian district of Cologne, just a few metres away from Rudolfplatz with a sales floor of 70 square metre. The Good Will Out (TGWO) opened in March 2008.

In the past years the Belgian district developed to Cologne’s top district for small boutiques and independent shops far-off from the mainstream. The Good Will Out is located in a landmarked retail shop from the early 1900s with the original antique door and shop front. Besides selected classic sneaker styles TGWO is specialized on limited editions and fine sneaker which can’t be found elsewhere in this part of Germany. Not only sneaker-nerds are among the regular customers but also fashionistas who like to buy sneaker which can’t be seen on every feet.
